Optional kannst Du das neue kompakte "Technik"- Screen Layout für deine Artikelsuche verwenden. Dafür schaltest Du rechts oben unter der Menüleiste den Schalter "Ansicht" um von "Standard" auf "Technik". 
Das Technik Layout ist speziell für den technischen Benutzer konzipiert, der viele Daten auf engem Raum und das in tabellarischer Form sehen möchte. Zugleich ist es hier möglich rascher zwischen Produkttypen und Werkstoffen zu wechseln. Zur Benutzung dieses Layouts sind Bildschirme ab einer Auflösung von 17" empfohlen. Bei kleineren Bildschirmen wird das optionale Technik Layout gar nicht zur Auswahl angeboten. 
Bei registrierten Kunden wird die Auswahl des Layouts gespeichert. Du kannst jederzeit zwischen den beiden Layouts hin und her wechseln.

Order history
What happens to my order history after the website relaunch?

Due to technical reasons, your previous order history has not been transferred during the relaunch of our website.
If you need a record of your previous orders, please contact us - we'll be happy to email you your order history upon request.

Products
Where can I find detailed information about a product?

Each product type has a product header that contains the most important information. By clicking on "More details" you will get a deeper insight into the relevant data and can navigate to the steel wiki or the comparison table.

Do you have any questions? Then simply use our contact form under the menu item "Contact".

What cutting tolerances do you apply?

Our cutting tolerances are:

- for bars and profiles: +/- 3 mm
- for sheets and plates: +/- 2 mm

For special tolerance requirements please contact us via our contact form.

The surface of our semi-finished products is raw. Scratches on the surface are normal. This is no reason for complaint.

Are the delivered goods free from scratches?

Our products are semi-finished products, which means that scratches may occur during order picking. Unfortunately, a scratch-free surface cannot be guaranteed and therefore does not constitute grounds for complaint.

Does the shop have all the products you can offer?

Our online shop offers a very large selection, but does not represent our entire range, as we also regularly fulfil special requests from our customers. If a desired product is not listed in the shop, you are welcome to contact our support team.

Which products can I buy from you?

In the shop you will find a wide selection of materials, moulds and accessories for industry and trade. This includes tubes, sheets and profiles made of steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, bronze, copper and plastics.

I can't find a particular product. What can I do?

If you cannot find a product, please contact our support team using the contact form.

Are mitre cuts possible?

Yes, we offer 45° miter cuts for the following products:


You can choose between a single-sided, double-sided, or double-sided parallel miter cut.

If you require a custom miter or a special configuration, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the contact form.

Do you have tubes that can be nested?

Yes, we offer various dimensions. Please note that there should be a certain clearance (at least 0.5–1 mm) between the outer and inner diameter.

Do you offer deburring services?

Yes, for some products you can select the deburring service directly in the shop. If this is not available, please contact our support team via the contact form and let us know your special request.

Can you bend sheet metal?

Yes, we can bend sheet metal up to a length of 3000 mm and a thickness of 10 mm. Please send us your requirements using the contact form.

Do you offer assembly work?

No, we don't currently offer this service, but we can recommend specialized service providers near our stores.

Do you offer welding services?

No, but in this case we can recommend specialised service providers near our stores.

Can I get a factory certificate for my product?

You can order a factory certificate for selected products directly in the shop. If this option is not available, we can issue a certificate for most products on request. Please note that the delivery time may be extended in individual cases.

Warum kann ich im Online Shop maximal eine Länge von 3000 mm eigeben?

This is due to the limitations of the shipping companies. Longer lengths are also available for self pick-up. Please contact our team using the contact form.

Ordering
How do I place an order in the Fix Metall online shop?

Select product: 
You have three options to quickly find the product you want:

1. browse through our shop and use the filter function to make your selection easier.

2. use our productfinder - here you will be guided quickly and easily through our range to find the quickest way to the product.

3. use the search function (magnifying glass icon) in the menu and search for materials or product types of your choice.

Configuration: 
Enter the required quantity and dimensions and click on the ‘Add to basket’ symbol. (The prices are updated automatically.)

Check shopping basket:
 Navigate to the shopping basket to check your selection. Here you can edit, duplicate or remove items.

Go to the checkout:
Click on ‘Checkout’ to finalise your order.

Enter your details: 
Enter your delivery address and payment information.

Finalise your order: 
Check all details again and click on ‘Buy now’ to finalise your purchase.

Confirmation:
You will receive an order confirmation by email.

If you have any questions or need assistance, our support team is always available to help.

How do I find out whether my order has been received?

After placing your order, you will receive an automatic confirmation by e-mail. As soon as we have processed your order, you will also receive an order confirmation.

Do I have to register to be able to order?

No, you can also order as a guest. However, if you register, you have the advantage of saving products in your favourites list, quickly adding previous orders to your shopping basket and easily managing your orders and addresses. 

Registration is free of charge.

How can I find out the price for my order?

Select the desired product group, enter the length and quantity - the price is calculated and displayed immediately. The shipping costs will be added later in the order process.

Are the prices shown gross or net?

Different prices are displayed depending on registration: Corporate customers see the net prices, private customers the prices including VAT. The respective price is clearly indicated to the left of the price.

Are there minimum order quantities?

No, there are no minimum order values. However, technical restrictions such as minimum lengths are specified when the order is placed.

How can I track my order?

We will keep you up to date on the progress of your order by e-mail. As a registered customer, you can also view the status at any time in your customer account.

Can I cancel my order or make changes?

Yes, if your order has not yet been processed, adjustments can still be made at a later date. Please contact us via the contact form, quoting the order confirmation number

If your order has not yet gone into production, you can of course cancel it. Please contact us as soon as possible so that we can arrange the cancellation before the material is processed.

Unfortunately, items that have been specially made to your measurements cannot be returned as they are customised for you.

Is it possible to place an order on site?

Yes, but please note that online prices are usually lower than local prices.

Can I also order by telephone?

No, for standard products an order via the Fix Metall online shop is required. Special requests can be sent to our support team via the contact form or by e-mail.

However, we will be happy to assist you with your order by telephone and answer any questions you may have.

Where can I find my previous orders?

Your previous orders are saved in your customer account. There you can view all details and check the current status of your orders at any time.

To do this, click on the account icon in the menu and log in with your access data. You can then access your orders in the account menu.

Is it possible for public organisations to purchase via the company service portal?

Wo sehe ich meinen Bestellstatus?

Wenn Du ein Kundenkonto besitzt, kannst du den Status deiner Bestellung in der Bestellübersicht sehen.

Delivery
How long does the delivery take?

If the material is in stock, it is usually handed over to the shipping service provider on the same day or by 2 p.m. the next day at the latest.

In the configuration mode of your product, you can see whether your desired product is available and in which store. You will also receive an estimate of the delivery time, taking into account production and dispatch. Make sure that the correct destination country is entered, e.g. ‘AT’ for Austria.

Which countries does Fix Metall deliver to?

We deliver to all EU countries as well as Bosnia, Norway, Switzerland, Monaco, Iceland, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro and Serbia.

How is the delivery organised?

We send small consignments with DHL or GLS, while larger deliveries are sent by a forwarding agent.

Is it possible to collect the goods myself?

Yes, in the shopping basket, you have the option to choose between delivery and collection. Before finalising the payment process, you can also specify the store of your choice.

As soon as the goods are ready for collection, you will receive an email notification.

What are the shipping costs?

The amount of the shipping costs depends on the selected parcel service and the country of delivery. During the payment process, you have the option of selecting your preferred transport service provider. The shipping costs are automatically calculated and displayed in the shopping basket. 

Our shipping cost structure is as follows

We use the GLS parcel service to deliver consignments:
- with a maximum length of up to 2 metres and
- a weight of up to 30 kg.

We use the DHL parcel service to deliver consignments:
- with a maximum length of up to 3 metres and
- a weight of up to 500 kg.

For consignments that cannot be transported by a parcel service, we use forwarding agents.

Can I have my order sent to a different delivery address?

Yes, we are happy to send your order to a delivery address other than the billing address. Simply enter the appropriate delivery address during the order process or select a saved address from your Fix Metall account.

I have missed the delivery - what can I do?

If you are not at home when your parcel is delivered, you will receive a notification from DHL or GLS. The delivery agent will make a second delivery attempt on the next working day and, if necessary, a third attempt on the following working day. If a DHL parcel shop or GLS parcel shop is available in your area, your parcel will be made available for collection there. You can collect it within the next 10 days. You can track your parcel using the tracking number, which you can find either in the dispatch confirmation email or in your Fix Metall account.

For deliveries by a forwarding agent, the carrier will contact you directly to arrange a new delivery date.

Can I return goods that have been cut to size?

Unfortunately, we cannot take back items that have been cut to size according to your wishes, as we cannot resell them.

Can I choose the shipping service provider myself?

For certain delivery regions, we offer a choice between GLS, DHL and DHL Express. You can select the desired shipping service provider during the ordering process.

Our shipping cost structure is as follows

We use the GLS parcel service to deliver consignments:
- with a maximum length of up to 2 metres and
- a weight of up to 30 kg.

We use the DHL parcel service to deliver consignments:
- with a maximum length of up to 3 metres and
- a weight of up to 500 kg.

At what times can the goods be collected?

Self-collectors can pick up their goods after prior order in the shop during the following opening hours:

Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
Friday: 08:00 - 14:00.

Can I track my parcel online?

Yes, you will find a link in the dispatch confirmation that you can use to track your delivery. The tracking link is also available in your customer account.

What happens in the event of transport damage?

Check the goods for visible transport damage on delivery and ask the driver to confirm this in writing!

How can I change my delivery address?

You can easily update your user data in the ‘Account settings’. To do this, go to the “Delivery addresses” area, click on “Edit” or “Add address”, enter your new data and save the changes.

Is VAT-free delivery possible in the EU?

Yes, for companies that are registered with us and have provided their VAT number, we issue invoices without VAT.


Pickup
How does the 24/7 pickup station work?

When placing your order, you can request pickup via our locker system. Once your order is ready, you’ll receive a personal PIN code by email or SMS to open the locker. The pickup station is located to the left of the main entrance, at Industriestraße B16, 2345 Brunn am Gebirge

When can I pick up my order?

Pickups are available 24/7 if your order was placed in a locker.
Without locker pickup, collection is only possible during regular business hours

How do I request pickup via the locker?

Please specify locker pickup when placing your order. Only then will your order be placed in a locker and a PIN code sent to you. 

Can I pick up my order outside business hours?

 Yes. If you chose locker pickup, you can collect your order anytime – even outside business hours using your PIN code

Wie kann ich über den Onlineshop eine Abholung über die Abholbox auswählen?

Nach deiner Bestellung kannst du im Checkout die Versandoption „Abholbox Brunn“ auswählen. Sobald deine Bestellung fertig produziert ist, wird sie in der Abholbox hinterlegt. Du erhältst anschließend eine E-Mail mit einem Abholcode, mit dem du die Box jederzeit (24/7) öffnen kannst. 

Wie lange bleibt meine Bestellung in der Abholbox verfügbar?

Deine Bestellung bleibt maximal 72 Stunden nach Einlagerung in der Abholbox. Danach wird sie wieder entnommen. Stelle daher sicher, dass du sie rechtzeitig abholst. 

Was brauche ich zur Abholung aus der Abholbox?

Du benötigst lediglich den Abholcode aus der E-Mail-Benachrichtigung. Mit diesem Code kannst du die entsprechende Box vor Ort öffnen und deine Bestellung entnehmen. 


Prices & Payment
How is the price calculated?

The price includes material and cutting costs. Shipping costs are quoted separately.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes, the shop automatically takes the discount into account for larger quantities. For particularly high order volumes, you can contact our sales department directly.

What payment options do you offer in the online store?

We accept payments by credit card, PayPal, Klarna, Sofortüberweisung, EPS, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Registered customers can also pay conveniently on account.

How secure is online payment?

Our online payments are processed securely via the payment providers STRIPE and PayPal. Your account or credit card will be debited immediately after the order has been completed. We will then send you an order confirmation by e-mail.

What payment options do I have in a Fix Metall store?

We offer the option of paying in cash on site or by credit card and PayPal.

I have not received an invoice, what can I do?

Please send us a message via the contact form with your order number. We will send you the invoice by e-mail shortly.

Why are there price differences between online orders and immediate pickups?

Our pricing is deliberately structured so that pre-orders placed through our online shop are cheaper than immediate pickups on site. Online orders allow us to plan and process logistics more efficiently, as our warehouse staff can handle these orders in an optimized sequence, which significantly reduces our workload.

Orders without pre-order must be processed and cut on the spot by our office staff. To keep this effort manageable, we limit the number of immediate cuts to a maximum of 3 pieces per order. Prices for immediate pickup are intentionally higher because we need to maintain an incentive for pre-ordering. Otherwise, our sales staff would be diverted from their other tasks by spontaneous orders.

1. log in via the account icon in the menu on the right.

2. after logging in, you will find the ‘Orders’ item in the account menu. Here you will find all your previous orders.

3. select an order and place the items in the shopping basket again

4. you can adjust the dimensions and quantities directly in the shopping basket.

Where can I change my personal data?

You can manage your personal details, billing address, delivery addresses and password in your account settings.

How can I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time via the account menu under ‘Delete account’.

After deletion, all your personal data, the orders linked to your account and your access will be deleted. However, your order history and the associated invoices will continue to be stored by us.

I have forgotten my password. What do I do now?

No problem! Click on ‘Forgot your password?’ on the login page and follow the instructions. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password.

I have forgotten my user name. What now?

Your username is usually the same as the email address you registered with. If you are unsure, please contact our support team, who will be happy to help you.

Can I enter my own billing email address?

Yes, log in to your customer account. Here you can enter a separate email address for sending invoices.

Will my data be treated securely and confidentially?

The protection of your data is a top priority for Fix Metall. Your information will only be used to process your order and for our own purposes. We only work with selected, trustworthy partners for credit checks and the delivery of goods. You can find all details on data protection in our data protection notice.
